During by-polls: EC chief visits polling stations

Polling started at 8am and the Chief Election Commissioner visited different polling booths

MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Chief Election Commissioner Justice Mustafa Mughal visited polling stations of LA-19, Ponch and Sudhnoti-3 where the by-elections were under progress on Sunday and termed the administrative and security measures satisfactory.

Polling started at 8am and the Chief Election Commissioner visited different polling booths and supervised the polling process.

Justice Mustafa Mughal while supervising polling process on different polling stations held conversations with different political leadership and the voters and asked their views regarding the process who termed the polling atmosphere peaceful, smooth and transparent.

The political leaders also termed the security foolproof and appreciated the election commission for making comprehensive administrative measures. They also lauded the electronic and print media for covering the election process. The Chief Election Commissioner on the occasion thanked the Ranger, police, local administration and media for their assistance and ensuring the polling process in peaceful atmosphere.
