Improving education: Three new programmes launched

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has initiated three programmes to promote education in the province

ABBOTABAD: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has initiated three programmes to promote education in the province besides establishing a close link between teachers and parents. The programmes, which are called Parent Teachers Council, aim to maintain a close link between teachers and parents to improve the standard of education and increase literacy in K-P. Addressing the inaugural session on Sunday, Education Department Special Secretary Muhammad Farid Qureshi commended the efforts of the government and members of the community in supporting the programme and promoting education. He said the dream of having a well-educated society was a far cry until the whole community supported literacy enhancing programmes.
