Blast injures 6 on outskirts of Islamabad

A minor explosion in the Bara Kahu area just outside of Islamabad injures three people.

A minor explosion caused by a planted improvised explosive device (IED) in the Bara Kahu area just outside of Islamabad injured at least six people on Sunday.

According to initial reports, residents in the area stated that they heard a large blast in the area. Rescue 1122 and security forces reached the area to find a motorcyclist and his son-in-law injured and sprawled on the ground. Others in the area were also injured in the explosion.

The crater from the blast was not large reported Sumera Khan for Express 24/7, however, the location of the explosion has numerous sensitive installations and offices in the area, aside from the farmhouses of numerous influential, political families.

The target of the blast is unknown.
