Altaf and others implicated in FIR against PSP office attack

According to the FIR, three armed men entered party office and opened fire

A case pertaining to Sunday's attack on Pak Sarzameen Party's (PSP) office was registered on Tuesday against the head of Muttahida Qaumi Movement - London (MQM-L), Altaf Hussain, and his accomplices on behalf of PSP worker Fahad Hussain, who was injured in the attack. The case was registered under the sections of murder, attempt to murder and Anti-Terrorism Act.

According to the FIR, the petitioner was at the office, located in Rizvia Society Usmania Colony, when the incident occurred. He stated that six armed men riding three motorcycles approached the office on December 23. Of these, three entered the office at 10:30pm and opened fired, killing Azhar alias Saiyan and Muhammad Naeem and injuring Muhammad Yasir and himself. The accused fled the scene.

Azhar died on the spot while Muhammad Naeem passed away at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.


The petitioner accused MQM-L activists of carrying out the attack. Fahad said that Nadeem Ahsan, Sufiyan Yousuf, Qasim Ali Raza and others affiliated with MQM-L's South Africa and India setup assisted the attack. He said that PSP members used to receive threats from them.

Nazimabad DSP Irfan Zaman said that the police were conducting raids in different areas in search of the accused.
