ISLAMABAD: A Christian man, who had taken a loan to buy Christmas gifts for children, was gunned down in the federal capital on Monday. According to the Koral police, Anthony Nadeem Masih told them that his son, Danish Masih, had told his wife and children that he was going over to his friend’s house to retrieve some of the Rs80,000 he had loaned him and that in the meanwhile, they should get ready to go buy new clothes for Christmas.  He then went to his friend’s house to whom he had loaned the money. After retrieving the money, he called home to tell his family to get ready. His wife and children got ready and waited patiently for Danish to return. Instead, they got word that he had been gunned down by unidentified armed men. Koral police station SHO Saifullah confirmed to the Daily Express that Danish had retrieved his money and had called home after which unidentified men killed him. He added that this was a case of blind murder and that they have handed the case over to the homicide unit of the Islamabad Police to probe it.
