Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said the United States' decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan will lead to peace in the neighbouring country.
Talking to media in Multan on Saturday, Qureshi said Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan and will continue to play its role to bring stability in the country.
Pakistan, he maintained, is providing all out facilitation for a negotiated settlement of Afghan conflict. He appreciated the fact that the US and Taliban have agreed to sit together for talks.

To another question, Shah Mehmood Qureshi dispelled the impression that talks are being held with the US to release Dr Shakeel Afridi in exchange for Dr Aafia Siddiqui.
Replying to a question on the worsening human rights situation in occupied Kashmir, the foreign minister highlighted that Pakistan has consistently been raising the issue at all international fora.
Qureshi further said Prime Minister Imran Khan called UN Secretary General and drew his attention towards the plight of Kashmiris.
