The Sindh government on Tuesday inked an agreement with the Patient Aid Foundation (PAF) for the launch of 60 fully-equipped ambulances in the port city.
The service would be run in a Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.

According to the agreement, the ambulance service will be started as a pilot project and by next year would be expanded to 200 ambulances, said the provisional chief executive.
"The provincial government is striving to provide better health care facilities," CM stated.
There is a successful pilot project running in the districts of Thatta and Sujawal with 25 life-saving ambulances. The Sindh Peoples Ambulance Service, successfully operating for the past two years, runs under a similar public-private partnership between the Sindh government and Aman Foundation.

The agreement was signed by Secretary Health Usman Chachar and PAF's Mushtaq Chhapra.
