PM Imran meets Turkish interior minister
PM extends an invitation to Erdogan for a state visit
ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday met the Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu and discussed bilateral ties with the visiting delegation.
The meeting, held at Prime Minister Office in Islamabad, was also attended by State Minister for Interior Shehryar Afridi. Soylu conveyed felicitations on behalf of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Imran for assuming office.
Pakistan, Turkey to revive FTA talks
A host of issues, including further enhancement of mutual cooperation in various areas were also discussed in the meeting. Extending full support to Pakistan, the Turkish delegation invited the premier to visit their country.
Pleased with the upward trajectory of Pak-Turkish ties, the premier also extended an invitation to the Turkish president and leadership.
Earlier in the day, Afridi received the visiting delegation at Islamabad Airport.
