Talking to the media outside the NAB court, the spokesperson said Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar had issued clear orders that no details of any case should be released to the media “before inquiry is completed and a reference filed”.
She pleaded CJP Nisar to punish NAB for violating such direct and unambiguous directions.
Aurangzeb questioned, “Is there any law and order in this country to guard respect of public leaders and politicians or are we living in a lawless land? If NAB is so bent on respecting the sanctity of the anonymous applicant, why doesn’t it guard the sanctity of my respect and honour? What motives and stimuli were so uncompromising that the NAB had to violate direct orders of the supreme judiciary? What gave NAB the power to deprive law abiding citizens of their basic constitutional right to a fair trial under Article 10-A??”

Condemning the recent spree of baseless mudslinging at politicians, Aurangzeb said that she was always open to accountability but warned that she wouldn’t let anyone berate or even think about insulting her.
She claimed that she would gain even more credibility from this frivolous smear campaign regardless of what NAB got out of such a tainted act.
Slamming the government, she said that the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was trying to sell the National Reconciliation Ordinance narrative to distract the nation’s attention from their disastrous rule.
“They know that the people rejected this narrative and have understood the inability and incapacity of this group of corrupt, naïve and incompetent individuals masquerading as the so-called ambassadors of change,” she added.
The former information minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan had destroyed the national institution for accountability by infiltrating and influencing it politically, adding that this tactic wouldn’t work for too long.

The former minister questioned, “Will the devaluation of Pakistan’s currency stop with 150 court appearances of Nawaz Sharif? Will the arrest of Shehbaz Sharif result in withdrawal of skyrocketing inflation gifted by the PTI to the people? Will the illegal abduction of Saad Rafique without any reference filed fill up Pakistan’s depleting foreign reserves? Will putting an illegal travel ban on Hamza Shehbaz result in lowering of electricity and gas prices which are crushing the people of Pakistan? Will launching and advertising a frivolous inquiry against Marriyum Aurangzeb mask the disastrous failures of the incompetent PTI horde hoard? Will the smear campaigns against Marriyum Aurangzeb in the name of anonymous applications hide glaring theft of public money by Aleema Baji and the NRO gifted to her by the prime minister?”
Aurangzeb said that the PTI government had led the country into a dangerous crisis on every front.
Later, reacting to the press conference of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, she said that the chief minister of the most populous province needed to tell how many cabinet meetings had he chaired all by himself without being overshadowed by someone?
She demanded that CM Buzdar arrange a trip to the desolate hut where he lives as “people want to see the bicycle he rides every day to work”.
She demanded of the Punjab CM to answer as to when would South Punjab be made a separate province and a presser be held in this regard?
