Winter is coming: Temperatures to plummet as Siberian winds grip Karachi
Temperatures may drop as low as 9°C
Chilly Siberian winds are expected to take over Karachi on the coming weekend, revealed an update by Weather Updates Karachi.
"These winds may reach 30 to 35kmph and gusting up to 45 to 55kmph also bringing cold and dusty conditions," the update read.
The effects of Siberian winds will likely be visible from Friday and will increase gradually.
Strong winds to continue in Sindh
According to the forecast, daytime temperatures may fluctuate between 22°C to 24°C, whereas nighttime temperatures are likely to drop as low as nine to 12°C.
However, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Karachi shall receive cold winds from Quetta and the temperature may drop as low as 9°C by December 19.
