Biker dies in collision with ambulance in Islamabad

Police investigates the matter

RAWALPINDI: A motorbike rider died on Wednesday after he was struck by an ambulance driving in the opposite direction. The city police said that Bilal Ahmed said Khurram Munir, who worked at an aluminium works store in Islamabad, were returning home on their motorbike (RIO-2470).  When they reached Liaquat Road, an ambulance (ACW-771) driving up the wrong side of the road crashed into them. As a result of the collision, the two bike riders were thrown to the ground. Both men suffered injuries but Munir succumbed to his. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
