ISLAMABAD: The fourth edition of the "Human Rights through Cinematography" film festival — which marked 70 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) — concluded late Monday.

"This film festival - highlighting human right issues from around the world - is using cinematography as a catalyst for thought-provoking conversations and ideas that address human rights concerns our world faces today,” said Swiss Embassy Chargé d'Affaires Bernhard Furger at the closing ceremony. The ceremony, which coincided with World Human Rights Day, had been jointly organised by the United Nations in Pakistan and the Swiss Embassy.

For the foreseeable future, human rights will remain a vital element in national, international, and transnational struggles for social justice and human dignity, he added.
