Police said accused Dilshad and his accomplices threw acid on Amir to take revenge

A man suffered severe burn injuries when motorcycle riders threw acid on him over a dispute in Bahawalpur. The incident occurred in the City Ahmedpur East police station precincts.
SHO Absar Hussain told The Express Tribune that 28-year-old Muhammad Amir, a resident of Moza Sakheel, Basti Ghareebabad, was on his way for some work. That is when four culprits, riding two motorcycles, intercepted him.
He added that after an argument, the culprits threw acid on the victim. He said the accused also opened fired on Amir and fled the scene. As a result, he suffered a bullet wound and critical burn injuries to different parts of the body.
He was immediately rushed to a local hospital for medical aid. Doctors at the health facility said that the victim suffered severe burn injuries and was in critical condition.
Absar revealed that the victim worked as a labourer in Karachi and had a friendship with Haseena Bibi, who used to work as a house maid. He stated the woman’s brother, Dilshad Ahmed, used to dislike Amir. Recently, the victim moved came to Bahawalpur and started working in the city.
The SHO stated that in a bid to take revenge of his relationship with his sister, Dilshad and his accomplices Muhammad Afzal, Farman Ali and an unidentified man intercepted Amir and threw acid on him.
Meanwhile, the police have registered an FIR against the accused and started investigations
