Peshawar DC takes clean drive to canals

Imposes Section 144 on littering

PESHAWAR: The district administration has called upon resident of Peshawar to refrain themselves from throwing waste in the Canals of Peshawar and imposed section 144 in the provincial capital against violators.

The campaign started with the name of “The Clean & Green campaign” is now extended to canals in Peshawar. Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh along with District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Engineer Sher Dil Khan, Additional Assistant Commissioner Town One Islahuddin, Emergency Officer Arif Khan Marwat and Irrigation Officers initiated a special drive to clean all the canals in Peshawar.

He appealed to the people to cooperate with the District Administration and avoid throwing waste in canals. The people must cooperate in making Peshawar a clean city.
