It is safe to say that Toyota has since a long time proven itself to be the leading player when it comes to ‘Sport Utility Vehicles’ also known as the SUVS. This time, Indus Motor Company has introduced the new Fortuner as their newest edition to their extensive range of exciting options. Undoubtedly, this new Fortuner successfully distinguishes itself both in terms of its superior performance and sleek design.
The SUV comes equipped with a 1GD engine, 6-Speed Auto Transmission, Eco/Power Drive Modes, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Start Assist Control, Downhill Assist Control, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Emergency Brake Signal (EBS). Of course, all of this comes neatly wrapped in an exterior and interior that just oozes extravagant luxury and class with plenty of comfort.
In order to showcase the new Fortuner Sigma 4 endurance and worth, Toyota launched its latest web-series, “Steering with the Stars”. Because the company believes in putting its claims to test, the latest campaign roped in six famous celebrities and put them behind the wheels of Toyota’s Fortuner in an interesting yet competitive off-roading challenge.
A purpose built track was engineered by the experts at Toyota; complete with all the physical obstacles meant to challenge the Fortuner in every possible way. As the celebrities whizzed around the track, audiences got the opportunity to truly see the power and resilience of the new Fortuner Sigma 4 in action.
The first episode of the web-series was aired on October 26, 2018. Hosted by the very talented Mohib Mirza, the first episode introduced Shehzad Roy as the celebrity guest. Each episode not only managed to give an intimate, real-time experience with the Fortuner but also highlighted a different side of Pakistan.
From local eateries and chai expeditions to talking about serious issues such as, how Shehzad Roy’s efforts commenced a change in the child abuse laws in schools. The episodes revealed fun and the competitive side of the celebrities as they were involved in a light banter with Mohib Mirza.
Who says a girl cannot drive? The second episode showcased the elegant Sanam Saeed, who was all about girl power and a role model for breaking stereotypes based on gender discrimination and women empowerment. Whereas other female celebrities such as Amna Ilyas and Anoushey Ashraf broke away all the barriers as they set up new records. The episodes portrayed a different side of these beautiful ladies who refused to be labelled as the weaker sex.
The fifth episode featured our very talented cricketer, Wasim Akram, who besides being a gentleman is a fine sports person this nation has ever produced. The episode sheds an insight on his journey and the relationship he shares with his wife. It was a nostalgic moment for him because surprisingly, his first car was also from the Toyota family.
In episode six, we witnessed how the heart robbing Imran Abbas sportingly completed the challenge while enjoying it to the fullest. He shared fun memories about his first car and to what extent it had an influence over his romantic life.
By the end of the series, Toyota very smartly and smoothly made the audience well versed with all the features of their new Fortuner SUV. A unique initiative that is an absolute pleasure to watch; a web series loaded with the right amounts of action with a little bit of the real side of six stunning celebrities.
