Robberies, muggings rampant in the capital

Police register cases regarding the incidents in respective police stations

ISLAMABAD: Many incidents of robbery, mugging and fraud are being reported in the federal capital with robbers depriving citizens of over Rs 1.3m in jewelry, motorcycles, mobile phones and other items.

According to details a citizen Qaisar Abbas Shah reported to Bani Gala police that his motorcycle bearing number KHV-9714 had been stolen. Ammar Sajjad told Tharnol police that unknown bike riders snatched cash, mobile phone and other documents from him at gunpoint at Chungi 26.

Muhammad Ovais told Kohsar police that his employee Umar Arshad along with two other accomplices embezzled Rs0.6m from his shop and had stolen three cheques.

Muhammad Sajid told Kohsar Police that armed persons entered his house in Sector F-72 and took Rs0.5m cash and jewelry worth Rs0.8m.

Ajaz Gulzar told Kohsar police that Ali Subhan used to work as manager in his company and he had stolen cash, a motorcycle and a laptop Police have registered cases regarding the incidents in respective police stations.
