KARACHI: Terming the 100-day action plan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) "unsatisfactory", Sindh Chief Minister's Adviser on Information, Law and Anti-corruption Barrister Murtaza Wahab, gave PTI a new name the "Permanent Turning Institute" and said that it didn't give locals anything except fake promises and U-turns.

While addressing a press conference at Sindh Assembly on Tuesday, Wahab said that within 100 days, the worst storm of inflation has added to the misery of the masses. He marked July 25 as the county's worst day when the U-turn brigade was imposed on country. Wahab also said that the Prime Minister (PM) should visit the masses one day and he will realise what miseries they face. He claimed that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had always talked in the favour of people.

The federal minister himself said that Sindh's water is being stolen so he should stop the theft of Sindh water, said Wahab. According to him, PPP had laid down a network of roads across Sindh and showed good performance, due to which the people have once again elected us.

Referring to the issue of federal quarters, he said, "Pakistan Quarters was the property of federal government and if they had been sincere, they would have stopped the operation," adding that just the way the PM got his home regulated, he could've gotten Pakistan Quarters regulated as well.

Wahab further accused the federal government for not doing anything for Thar. He remarked that Thar's intellectual masses didn't vote for Shah Mehmood Qureshi to listen to his empty promises.

"In 100 days, the difficulties of people have increased and no relief is in sight. The day of July 25 was an unfortunate day when inflation increased, no one got any job, friends were favoured and ever since numerous houses have been demolished." Wahab accused that the house in which Imran Khan himself lives wasn't regularised. There was no investment made in the country in 100 days despite big announcements. The nation needs the sort of leader who would stand by his promises. In the federal cabinet, 60% of people were from former president Pervaiz Musharraf's tenure.

Answering a question about the chief minister, he said that Firdous Shamim Naqvi must talk factually as the chief minister has been present in every Council of Common Interests meeting and has also raised the issue of water. The water issue should be resolved by the federal government as the ministers have themselves confessed that Sindh is not getting its due share of water.

Wahab also said that the authorities should visit the masses so that they know what the prices of wheat, rice and pulses are. Regarding the anti-encroachment operation underway in Karachi, he said that people wanted an end to encroachments, and the operation was being carried out on the directives of Supreme Court. He, however, assured that the affected would be compensated with some alternative.
