ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan's nephew Hassan Niazi allegedly manhandled a personnel of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Islamabad on Monday, Express News reported.

Niazi was appointed as a counsel by the owner of a website, which broadcast PPP leader Faisal Raza Abidi's interview, to represent them in the court.

However, he became furious when he found out that another counsel had been appointed to replace him. Niazi engaged in a verbal scuffle with his appointee.

In the meanwhile, Mumtaz Ali, who represents the FIA at the court, was also proceeding towards the court.

The premier's nephew lunged towards Ali and slapped him multiple times, while saying "someone represented my client in the court and you didn't even stop him."

On the contrary, the FIA representative approached Ramna police station in the federal capital and filed an application, seeking action against Niazi.

Police officials say they will act as per law, while FIA high-ups say they will take the matter to its logical conclusion. The FIA official has demanded that an action be taken against Niazi for this abuse.
