PML-Q submits condemnation resolution in PA

MPA terms incident as an effort to damage Pak-China relations

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-i-Azam (PML-Q) has strongly condemned the attack on Chinese Consulate General office in Karachi, terming the incident as an effort to break Pak-China relations through ‘cowardly moves which will bear no fruit’.

PML-Q MPA Sajid Ahmed Bhatti demanded that the federal government bring the perpetrators of the attack to book. The demand was put forward through a resolution submitted in the Punjab Assembly secretariat.

Bhatti said the attack was an effort to tarnish Pakistan’s image and affect its relationship with China, but the nation would not let these moves of the enemy succeed.

He contended that PA strongly condemned the gory incident and demand strict punishment for those involved. “It is our security agencies that launched a timely operation and foiled the attempt of the enemies,” he said while lauding the security forces.

He said it was not an attack on Karachi, but an attack on Pak-China friendship. However, such unpleasant incidents could not damage Pak-China friendship. He demanded the federal government bring the actual masterminds of this incident to book.

“The nation is united on the war against terror and hell-bent on getting rid of this menace,” he said. He also voiced hope Pakistan’s military forces would eliminate terrorism soon.
