Prime minister seeks political revenge under guise of accountability, says PPP chairman

GILGIT-BALTISTAN: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said Prime Minister Imran Khan came into power after stealing the mandate and was aided by anti-democratic forces, Express News reported on Thursday.



While addressing a press conference in Gilgit, the PPP chairman added that Imran Khan was weak and insecure and this showed in his governance.

"It is regrettable that foreign policy is being conducted in an unprofessional manner," said Bilawal, adding that the prime minister made statements which were unprofessional against foreign leaders. Imran Khan was embroiled in a Twitter spat with US President Donald Trump this week.

Bilawal continued slamming the premier, saying he wanted to pressurise political adversaries so he would not be opposed and that recent accountability proceedings were political vengeance and not genuine attempts to end corruption in the country.



"The government should be holding people accountable without discrimination."
