A hearing was held at the accountability court in Islamabad on Tuesday regarding the Al-Azizia and Flagship references, the former premier could not reach a decision whether or not he wanted to mount a defence in the case or not.

Nawaz's lawyer Khawaja Haris requested the court to cross-examine the investigation officer today, while Nawaz would conclude his statements and responses to the question on Thursday.
To which Judge Malik responded that "it would have been better had Nawaz concluded his responses today".
Haris reassured the court that the former premier would be present before the court on Thursday.
Flagship reference: Replies from UK made part of case record
During the hearing, an additional judge remarked that since the trial has to be concluded within three weeks, the questions in the Flagship reference should be kept to a minimum, adding that there would be 70-75 questions at most in the Flagship reference for Nawaz to answer.
During the interrogation, investigation officer Muhammad Kamran stated that it was not him but Muhamamd Wasif who wrote the letter, but the process of sending the letter was initiated by him.
