Salman Khan has landed himself in yet another controversy after using the Pakistan flag for one of his scenes in Bharat. Criticised for hoisting the flag on Indian soil, a police complaint has been filed against the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor.
The film’s team wanted to shoot a sequence at the Wagah border, which, however, could not be possible due to security reasons, reported International Business Times. Hence, film-maker Ali Abbas Zafar chose a village in Indian Punjab where they recreated the set. Everything was well until the crew put up the Pakistan flag on the land. The villagers got extremely upset and reportedly filed a complaint against Salman.

"A lot of local bodies were upset about how someone could hoist Pakistan's flag on Indian soil. We have had such issues earlier in Kashmir and in places like Mumbai as well, when Pakistan flags have been put up during Ind0-Pak cricket matches," The Asian Age quoted a source as saying.
"Even though this is for a film shoot, local organisations are upset and have filed a police complaint against Salman. They also surrounded the sets of Bharat and the hotel that Salman was staying at. After all it is a film shoot but the locals refuse to understand," added the insider. The report added that sensing an unfavourable situation, Salman and the rest of the Bharat team quickly wrapped up the shooting and left for Mumbai.

Salman earlier landed in trouble when his self-produced film Love Yatri, created a row because of its title. Initially named Love Ratri, the movie irked a certain section of people, who felt it was insulting to the festival of Navratri.
