Farhad Humayun makes first public appearance post surgery

Musician earlier revealed he was suffering from brain tumour

Earlier this month, Overload drummer Farhad Humayun revealed he was diagnosed with brain tumour. While he requested friends and fans to pray for his speedy recovery and expressed his immense gratitude for being by his side in his trying times.

However, much to everyone's delight, the Coke Studio musician made his first public visit post his life-altering surgery.

Taking to Instagram, Humayun shared a picture of himself from a recent event and wrote, "I made my first public appearance in months last night - since my life changing surgery. Thanks to the powers that be and all my friends and fans for the love, energy, hugs, cheers and prayers."

Humayun confirmed the news of his illness in a private conversation to The Express Tribune.

"It was about two weeks ago that I was diagnosed with a brain tumour due to which I suffered a seizure. I have been lucky to find the greatest surgeon in the world to operate on me but it has not been easy,” he earlier wrote on social media.

“I thank you for your prayers and messages of love. I have had little or no symptoms until very recently – I am told by my doctor, my active and healthy lifestyle and general attitude of positivity have enabled me to stay strong underneath and I am recovering quickly,”Humayun had shared.



He had added that he will return to music as soon as he will gain his strength back.

“I will be back with more music. I won’t slow down or give up or feel sorry for myself. I’ve been fortunate to work and play with the greatest musicians and artists, in the history of the world. And I did it my way,” he went on add.
