Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Karachi is the engine of national economy and deserves even better security environment to maintain the positive business trajectory.

During a visit to the Rangers Sindh headquarters on Saturday, Gen Bajwa appreciated the efforts of the Rangers and all other law-enforcement agencies for the improved security environment in the metropolis.

“Karachi is the engine of national economy and we shall further improve its security environment so that positive business trajectory is maintained,” Gen Qamar said, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

On the occasion, Sindh Rangers director general gave detailed briefing on security situation in Sindh, including the law and order in the provincial capital. Corps Commander Karachi Lt-Gen Humayun Aziz also accompanied the Army Chief during the visit.
