Girl, cousin killed by family for 'honor'
Qasia's father and brother murdered her over suspicion of an affair with her cousin

In a suspected case of honor killing, a 15-year-old girl Qasia and her 27-year-old male cousin Syed Muhammad were allegedly killed by the girl's father Sher Ali and her brother Shahid Rehman on Friday in Shangla district.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer Zerab Gul told The Express Tribune that Qasia’s father suspected his daughter and Syed to be in a relationship and subsequently killed them in the name of 'honor'.
Syed’s father told the police that his son was attacked while working in the fields. The suspects then went back home and killed the Qasia.
According to locals, a jirga was convened over the matter a week ago and decided that Qasia and Syed should be married.
Syed’s father registered a first information report in the Martung Police Station. According to the police, the case was registered under Sections 302 and 311 of the Pakistan Penal Code. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
