Authorities said that Jannat Bibi, the victim, had a heated argument with Safdar Ali, the suspect, over a monetary issue.
In a fit of rage, Ali attacker her with a sharp-edged weapon.
The victim succumbed to her injuries on the spot before she could be shifted to hospital.
Man kills stepmother, two stepsisters in Lahore
Police have taken Safdar into custody with an investigation underway after the victim's son lodged a complaint.
The incident took place within the Khurianwala Police Station limits.
On November 14, a man had allegedly shot his stepmother and two stepsisters dead in Lahore’s Shadbagh area.
Authorities had found bodies of three women from a cemetery. Another girl — sister of the suspect — had been reportedly injured and shifted to a hospital for medical care.
While recording a statement with the police, she remarked that she luckily survived the attack.
