On October 29, Lion Air flight JT 610 crashed shortly after taking of from Jakarta. The brand new Lion Air Boeing 737 MAX 8 was carrying 189 passengers and crew among which was the prospective bridegroom Rio Nanda Pratama, who died in the crash.
Pratama and his fiancee Intan Syari were due to marry on November 11, 2018. Intan Syari spoke to her fiancee prior to the flight in which he jokingly said to her, "if he didn't make it in time for the wedding, she should go ahead and send him the wedding pictures."

After Syari learnt about the crash, she adorned her white wedding gown and a wedding ring and posed for the photos alone, in order to fulfill her late fiancee's last wish.
In a recent Instagram post Syari wrote, that she knew her fiancee for 13 years and that he was her 'first love'.

Syari's wedding photos made rounds on social media after the photographer posted her pictures online with the story behind the wedding shoot.
"If I don't return by 11 November, you should still wear your wedding gown that I chose for you," the photographer cites him on her Instagram account. "Wear beautiful make-up, ask for a white roses. Take good photos and send them to me."
The couple decided on the photo shoot and the wedding dress just weeks before the ill fated Lion Air crashed in the sea of Jakarta.
