However, when she reached the school’s gate, she had not been allowed to enter the premises because of her niqab.

Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari took notice of the Tweet, by urging Punjab education minister to take action against those responsible.

Men barred from attending girls-only events in K-P schools

“Shameful. I don't wear the niqab but I will defend everyone's right to choose to wear it. And if we believe in freedom of choice we must respect the rights of those who choose to wear the niqab.

She added that the provincial minister of education must take note of this incident at LGS

On October 3o, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) education ministry had banned entry of men to events which are meant for girls while media coverage — including on social media — will not be allowed either.

This had been directed by the K-P Elementary and Secondary Education ministry.

omar cheema | 5 years ago | Reply Good Job by LGS administration. Face Veil (Niqab) is a totally unislamic concept. Islam only requires women to cover their hair, not their faces. I realize this is an issue of woman's choice, but can someone who has been brainwashed really make choices of their own volition? . No. If women knew that Islam doesn't require them to cover their faces, how many women would continue to do it out of their own choice?. Probably none.
