HBL inks agreement with CICC

Pakistan, China companies to receive world-class investment services

Habib Bank Limited (HBL) has entered into an agreement with China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC), the largest investment bank in China to provide investment banking services to companies in Pakistan and China.

This partnership would provide world-class investment banking services covering mergers and acquisitions, advisory services, capital and bond issuance, loan syndications etc.

As the economic cooperation between Pakistan and China increases, HBL and CICC would play a leading role in the next phase of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), in creating partnership between corporates in turn attracting foreign direct investment to Pakistan.

CICC and HBL have access to heads of leading companies, governments, regulators and other stakeholders which would ensure swift and seamless transaction execution.

The agreement was signed by Muhammad Aurangzeb, the President & CEO HBL and Huang Zhaohui, the Member of the Management Committee CICC. It was signed in the presence of Mr. Sultan Ali Allana, the Chairman HBL, Bi Mingjian, the Acting Chairman CICC, Farhan Talib, the Head of Corporate and Investment Banking HBL, Feng Danyun, the CICC Head of Business Support, Coordination and Public Relations Department along with other members of both organisations.
