ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday sought a report on the performance of his federal ministries during the first 100 days of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. He also sought a report on austerity measures.

During a party meeting, the PM inquired about progress on the various plans featuring his government’s 100-day plan and directed his ministers to submit an evaluation report. He said it is imperative to share the government’s performances with the public.

The ministers will also have to notify any public money they saved by adopting austerity measures. The report is supposed to include the initiatives taken to provide relief to the public and the degree of commitment to the government’s manifesto.

The report is also to mention measures undertaken by ministers to curb corruption in their respective departments. The ministers with promising reports will receive recognition.

The PTI-led government launched a website in October to apprise the public of the PTI’s 100 Day Agenda. Adviser to the Prime Minister on Establishment Mohammad Shehzad Arbab said the website – – has been created for the public and the media to track progress on the 100 Days Agenda.

PM Khan should reward the ministers who do well so that this action turns out to be a motivation for others. PM Khan should adopt tough measures especially for curbing corruption and recovering taxes.Recommend
