Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Fayyazul Hassan Chohan has asked the opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly, Hamza Shehbaz, to not glorify his corruption by gathering poor party workers during his appearances before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

In a statement on Friday, Chohan observed that Hamza Shehbaz appeared before NAB authorities to face charges of corruption and misuse of authority. “However, he acted like he had conquered Kashmir or raised the Pakistani flag on Delhi’s Red Fort.

The minister saw this is appalling behavior. “Instead of feeling ashamed of his corruption, he is using the poor party activists to give him a hero’s welcome,” the minister stated. He continued that the heads of 220 million Pakistanis had dropped in shame thanks to this move by the PA opposition leader. “He should have come like a person who felt ashamed of his wrongdoings rather than like a hero”.
