Flood Relief: Drama club raises Rs80,000

The money was raised from a student drama festival organised for flood victims.

BAHAWALPUR: An Islamia University Dramatic Club of delegation headed by Student Affairs director Dr Mehmood Ahmed and Dramatic Club in-charge Dr Abdul Wajid Khan called on Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Mukhtar to present him with a cheque of Rs 80,000 on Monday. The money was raised from a student drama festival organised for flood victims. The Vice Chancellor said that it is a matter of immense pleasure that the University students had been actively participating in flood relief efforts and commended their efforts. The vice chancellor appreciated the gesture and said that other fund raising activities on campus would continue and encouraged other organizations to plan similar events.
