DHAKA:
Vincent Barnes, whose contract as South Africa’s assistant coach will be terminated at the end of June this year, has turned down an offer to coach the Bangladesh cricket team. However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has asked him to reconsider his decision. “I did turn the coaching job down, but I have been asked to reconsider,” said Barnes. If he refuses to reverse his decision, it will be a setback for the BCB, as they had already made claims that they were close to signing him to fill the vacancy created by Jamie Siddons’ departure after a disappointing World Cup campaign.
