When did you realise you wanted to pursue beauty professionally?
I’ve always been interested in make-up from a very young age, but I have to say the decision to pursue it professionally was only made a year ago.
What inspired you to come up with Neeks Cosmetics?
One reason I decided to get into the industry was because I saw a gap in the market for good quality, affordable products. The other, because I genuinely love make-up!
What is the process of creating your liquid lipsticks?
A lot of research, sampling and modifying went into creating the perfect formula for our liquid lipsticks and lip liners, which for us is one that is long lasting but not too drying. And that’s why one of the things we did to ensure extra moisture was to add Jojoba oil and Vitamin E oil to our formula.
What is the first make-up item that you ever purchased?
A Lip Smacker chapstick! I don’t know if that counts!
Describe your perfect lipstick, have you found one yet?
The perfect lipstick for me, depends on the occasion – light in the day and slightly darker at night. These days I have only been wearing the Neeks lip-kits wherever I go!
Lipsticks or lip glosses?
Definitely liquid lipsticks!
What is your favourite high end make-up brand?
I don’t have a favourite because I tend to use different products from different brands, but NARS is always a safe go-to!
What is one make-up product that you think makes or breaks a look?
Lipstick for sure. Even if one is not wearing much make-up, applying lipstick can really make you look put together.
Is there any kind of make-up you can’t leave the house without?
Not really, but I definitely can’t leave the house without sunblock and moisturiser!
How important is packaging for you?
Extremely important, it makes all the difference!
How important do you think lip liners are?
I don’t wear lipstick without using a lip liner first! They are a really important base for your lipstick!
What’s your favourite colour from your collection?
Honestly, it would be impossible to choose! We have worked extremely hard to choose colours which are wearable for every occasion and I personally love all of them.
How does Neeks Cosmetics stand out in comparison to other cosmetic brands in Pakistan?
I don’t think it’s right to talk about other brands, but Neeks Cosmetics is committed to with providing its customers a quality product at an affordable price.
Do you plan on expanding your product range in the future?
We would love to see our brand diversify but to be very honest, we were not expecting such an overwhelmingly positive response so quickly. We are very grateful and humbled. That’s all I can say for now!
