Ayub Goth robbers murder and injure men for putting up resistance

KARACHI: A man was killed and another injured by robbers for putting up resistance in Ayub Goth on Saturday.

A gang of three armed robbers entered Zakir Hussain’s house in New Karachi’s Ayub Goth. The family pit up resistance, on which the robbers opened fire. Yaseen, 25, suffered bullet injuries and died on the spot while his brother, Ilyas, sustained bullet injuries.

Upon receiving information, police reached the scene and started investigation. The deceased and injured were taken to Abbasi Shaheed hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively.

Four ‘criminals’ arrested

Sindh Rangers claimed to have arrested five suspects from different areas of the city on Saturday.

According to the Rangers’ spokesperson, a Rangers’ team conducted targeted raids in Garden and Mubina Town and apprehended four street criminals.

They were allegedly involved in robberies, snatching of valuables and drug peddling. The rangers also recovered weapons, drugs and snatched mobile phones from their possession. They were handed over to police for further legal action.
