ABBOTTABAD: Peshawar High Court Abbottabad circuit bench has suspended the notice of Town Municipal Administration (TMA) Abbottabad where TMA officials have served notice on District Bar Association (DBA) Abbottabad to vacate the District Bar Club and also dismantle the bar building.

District Bar Association Abbottabad under the leadership of DBA President Khan Gul Khan Jadoon with large number of lawyers including senior lawyers and former presidents of DBA Abbottabad, High Court Bar and others held a protest rally against the notice issued by the TMA Abbottabad, and stated that it was creating unrest among lawyers’ community.

Earlier an emergent meeting of the DBA was held at the bar room and a unanimous resolution was passed where the withdrawal of notice and transfer of the officer in charge was demanded along with an extension of the lease period of the land allotted to Bar Room.
