Top judge says sportswomen can play a central role in making Pakistan proud with their achievements

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Thursday urged the women to never lose faith in their abilities, saying they must never think that they are lesser than men.



Justice Nisar was speaking at the award ceremony of the National Women's Football Championship in Lahore as the chief guest, wherein he said,"sports plays an indelible role in a nation's development.

The top judge lauded the achievements and role of women in the sports arena. "These girls will play a central role in making Pakistan proud with their many achievements," he remarked.

The CJP said that the government must hone the skills of athletes by investing heavily in sports in order to see a prosperous and thriving nation.

He stressed that there is a dire need to build sports stadiums and parks for the youth, and called upon the youth to work hard and remain determined to make the country proud.

On Wednesday, during a hearing of a case regarding the disposal of medical waste, the top judge observed that any government that is unable to provide health and education facilities has failed its people.
