SWABI: Science is everywhere. To show this, around 50 posters were created by students of the Swabi Women’s University to show how chemistry is at play in our day-to-day life. The research-based poster competition “Role of Chemistry in Daily Life” was judged by a panel of jurors consisting of Royal Society of Chemistry President Sir John Stranger Holman, University of Bristol’s Professor Tom Simpson, and Oxford University’s Prof. Mike Moss. The judges appreciated the research outcomes while evaluating the posters and selected the top three posters. Swabi Women’s University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Khanzadi Fatima Khattak said that science and technology are key drivers for the sustainable development of the country. She added that it was the sacred duty of varsities to create a spirit of competition among students and promote sciences, innovation and technologies. Moreover, she said that universities have to create new knowledge besides transferring existing knowledge.
