Says girls deserve same education as boys

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has said educating girls is imperative for the development of the province.
“Girls deserve same education as boys,” said the chief minister while addressing a ceremony at the Gwadar Girls College on Monday.

The CM was accompanied by Minister for Information and Higher Education Zahoor Buledi, Abdul Rehman Kethran, Noor Muhammad Dummar and government officials.
Kamal said, “Instead of building tall educational buildings, we have to build positive characters.”
He urged parents, teachers and especially students to utilise their skills in spreading education.

Separate schools for boys, girls in every UC a must: CM

The CM said the provincial government had been taking steps for easy access to education, but “we can’t achieve our goals unless all stakeholders come forward to revamp the education department”.
He said a Turbat University Campus had been established in the port city while a Gwadar University would also be built soon.
“Our students should develop a habit of reading books at libraries and learn modern skills through the internet,” said Kamal.
He urged parents to fulfil their obligation of getting their children educated, pledging that the provincial government would provide all facilities for the purpose.
