ISLAMABAD:

Former federal minister Najamuddin Khan has contradicted a published news item alleging family links between a PIA employee arrested on charges of drug trafficking with the MNA’s son.

According to a press release issued here on Saturday, the former minister denied of having family links with the PIA staff, Rehmat Saeed, arrested at Islamabad Airport allegedly for drugs trafficking.

“It is clarified that Rehmat Saeed is neither the nephew of Najamuddin Khan nor have any links or relationship with him or his family.

There is no one in the entire family with the name of Rehmat Saeed,” the press release read.

The source also reserved the right of going to the court for legal actions against key players for showing involvement of the family in a highly sensitive case without first confirming its authenticity.
