"Increase in exports is of vital importance to narrow down the trade deficit," he pointed out and urged the business community to participate in boosting tax culture in the country.

The president asked the businessmen to pay taxes regularly in a bid to generate higher revenues and help strengthen Pakistan's health, education and social sectors.

He underlined that establishment of new industrial zones was essential for the expansion of the industry, adding that the zones should be set up in such a manner that export-oriented sectors could enjoy significant advantages and all manufacturing sectors should be given equal opportunities.
