Treason case against Nawaz, Abbasi adjourned till Nov 12
Former PMs and journalist submit their replies in LHC

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday adjourned the hearing of a petition seeking treason proceedings against former prime ministers Nawaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, till November 12.
Nawaz, Abbasi and journalist Cyril Almedia submitted their replies in court during the hearing. The court expressed its displeasure over the Nawaz's absence from the hearing and ordered that the deposed prime minister be present for the next hearing.
Treason case: Nawaz, Abbasi directed to submit reply by October 22
The petition lodged by Advocate Azhar Siddiqui prayed upon the court to book Nawaz and Abbasi for treason under Article 6 of the Constitution.
The petition alleged that Abbasi shared crucial details of the National Security Council meeting with Nawaz following his statements on the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The petitioner also claimed that by leaking details of the NSC, Abbasi has committed high treason.
