
The event was jointly organised by the Lahore Arts Council and the Austrian Embassy to celebrate the Austrian National Day. The performances titled 'Musical Journey with the Kusimanten' were a treat for the ears, especially among families and the millennial.

The evening kicked off with the Pakistani National Anthem during which Kusimanten played traditional Austrian music in the background. Local artists also collaborated with the Austrian band with the cultural event concluding with jugalbandi performances. Ustad Nafees Ahmad and Ustad Muhammad Waqas were seen on the tabla.
The band, which was established in 2014, is quite famous within Austria and according to its members, they have travelled around the globe to perform.

Kusimanten comprises three founders named Deelinde, Marie-There’s Hartel and Tamara Lukasheva. Marie-There's and Deelinde are sisters and their combination with Tamara has proved wonderful, leading to the fame they desired. The band members shared that although they have received a lot of love and appreciation from the people of various countries, Lahore was one of the most enthusiastic of them all.
The officials of Lahore Arts Council and Alhamra Arts Council made sure that all relevant preparations were up to the mark and completed in time for Kusimanten to perform. Decorators were hired and special invitations sent out to the people of Lahore.
“It is a prime objective of Alhamra to arrange events which explore and promote the cultural values of Pakistan both locally and internationally. We have arranged many such entertaining events in the past." the Director of Arts and Culture, Zulifqar Ali Zulfi told The Express Tribune.

He continued, "Recent times have witnessed Alhamra successfully celebrate the national days of various countries and stage events in this regard. We do this to build cultural links with the several nations and their people."

The performance staged by Kusimanten garnered an amazing response, especially the jugalbandi feature, and audiences including foreign guests clapped through the evening.
