Gunned down: Bikers shoot and kill Special Branch constable

Sattar had dropped off his police bike at Qurban Lines after finishing his shift and was heading to his home.

A Special Branch police constable was shot dead in Mughalpura police precinct on Saturday.


Assistant Sub Inspector Yasin told The Express Tribune that two unidentified men on a motorbike shot and killed Constable Zeeshan Sattar, 26, at Chobacha Phatak and fled the scene.

He said that Sattar had dropped off his police bike at Qurban Lines after finishing his shift and was heading to his home in Baja Lines. Investigators believe he was given a lift to Chobacha Phatak, where he was shot four times and died at the scene.

His father Abdul Sattar said that he knew of no possible motive for the murder. An FIR is yet to be lodged under Section 302 0f the Pakistan Penal Code.
