Infrastructure Work resumes on Jail Chowrangi flyover

The city has resumed work on the Jail Chowrangi flyover that is expected to take six more months to complete.

KARACHI: The city has resumed work on the Jail Chowrangi flyover that is expected to take six more months to complete. DCO Muhammad Hussain Syed said this during his visit to the site. Accompanied by IG Prisons Ghulam Qadir, EDO Water & Sewerage Altaf G Memon and other officers, the DCO inspected the flats under construction for employees of the central prison, Karachi. The flats are being built inside the boundary wall of the prison. They inspected the space allocated for the office of the IG Prisons in Muslimabad. The city has undertaken the construction of 96 flats for employees of the Karachi prison as well as the residence and the office of the IG Prisons on an empty plot in Muslimabad. The remaining 20 per cent of the work of the Jail Chowrangi flyover will resume as 80 per cent of the work has already been completed.
