Much to our amusement, Bollywood starlets Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt engage in deep conversation in the recently released promo of Koffee with Karan Season 6. While we never imagined the pair to appear on a talk show together, the ladies proved us otherwise. And, Sanju star Ranbir Kapoor seemed to be the hot topic for the night.

The two are all set to appear on the celebrity chat show as the first guests, where they will be talking about marriage, Ranbir and female representation in Indian cinema.

“I am proud to start my season with girl power,” Karan Johar says in the beginning of the video and then proceeds to making the guests awkward by questioning Alia’s relationship with Ranbir and Deepika’s wedding plans.

“You have been in a relationship with Ranbir, Alia is in one right now,” the film-maker tells Deepika until he is interrupted by the actor herself, who adds, “Don’t try and make it awkward because it was not.” Karan then asked the two, “Who will get married first?” at which both  ladies point at each other.

Previously it was rumoured that instead of Deepika-Alia, the sibling duo of Arjun and Janhvi Kapoor will be seen together onscreen for the first time.

However, rubbishing the reports, Karan revealed that his first guests would infact be the two divas.

“Girl power, the changing role of women in films today and their real-life friendship, among other things,” is said to be the theme of the episode, an earlier report stated.
