Zainab murder case: Father moves LHC for public execution of Imran Ali

Haji Amin filed the appeal under section 22 of the Anti-Terrorism Act

The father of Zainab, raped and murdered by Imran Ali, moved the Lahore High Court (LHC) to publicly execute the convict, Express News reported on Saturday.

The black warrant for Imran's execution was issued on Friday and the convict will be executed on October 17.

Haji Amin, Zainab's father, filed the appeal under Section 22 of the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997, which allows a "convict to be executed publicly".

Also booked for rape and murder of 12 other minors, Imran was convicted in February after being identified through DNA tests and was sentenced to death on one count, 25 years of imprisonment on two counts. In other cases, Imran was awarded death sentence on four counts and life imprisonment on one count. The sentence was awarded by Judge Ahmad.

LHC seeks Zainab case record from jailer

Zainab was abducted on January 4 from near her aunt’s house in Kasur. Her body was recovered from a heap of garbage near her house five days later, sparking widespread protests in which two people also died because of the police firing.

Yes I agree with you. Their property should be bulldozed. In Sha Allah it will set example.
