NAB Lahore distributes Rs138 million cheques

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore distributed cheques of Rs138 million among 180 victims of Model Housing Enclave during a ceremony on Friday.

NAB Lahore Director General Saleem Shahzad was the chief guest on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahzad said the bureau has been taking measures on emergency basis to compensate the victims of housing scam. “NAB has already returned Rs240 million to the victims in May 2018,” he added.

He requested the masses to thoroughly check the documents and also get them verified before buying a house or a piece of land. He said the housing society owners were befooling people by showing them the fake maps. He asked people to contact NAB whenever they see an advertisement of a housing society. He requested the masses to trust NAB and do not be get hoodwinked by the defrauders.
