LHC adjourns hearing of petition challenging Shehbaz's arrest

LAHORE: A petition challenging the arrest and physical remand of PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif was submitted in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday.

The court instructed the petitioner to present his argument in the case to determine the maintainability of the petition.

Shehbaz’s arrest challenged at Lahore High Court

Justice Ali Baqir presided the hearing on the petition in the high court's office. The court stated that a full bench had already passed a judgement on the NAB ordinance and the decision will be given after referring to the earlier judgement.

The hearing was adjourned till October 31.

Shehbaz camp ‘not to give up’ reconciliatory narrative

The PML-N president was arrested by the anti-graft body for his alleged involvement in the Ashiana Housing Scheme scam. During his first appearance in court, Shehbaz was handed over to NAB on a 10-day physical remand.
