KARACHI: The Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST), in collaboration with Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) and Parhao Sabaq, held a seminar to celebrate World Teacher’s Day on October 5, at its Karachi Campus.

The panelists included former registrar of University of Karachi, Dr Ismail Saad, SZABIST Vice President Professor Dr Altaf Mukati, Teachers’ Development Centre Director Abbas Hussain, ITA Director Dr Bela Jamil and Parhao Sabaq CEO Adeel Dervesh. They discussed the role of teachers in the 21st century, the right to education according to Article 25 of the Constitution and Sustainable Development Goals and its Implementation in Sindh. The seminar conveyed the importance of the role of teachers in building the foundations of the youth and highlighted the need for teacher evaluation and training.

The session was moderated by SZABIST Dean of Management Science Dr Kaiser Bengali.
